I am Kemoy,
a Counsellor, Sex Educator,
Full Spectrum Doula and Yoga Guide.
About me:
My work includes many different offerings and the common thread throughout is nurturance and trauma informed care. As a Black and Queer person in the field of mental health and wellness it is important for me to acknowledge the disproportionate access to support that Queer and Black, Indigenous and People of Colour clients face when seeking mental health support.
I currently provide virtual Psychodynamic Counselling and EMDR Therapy to individuals. This support can be time limited or open ended depending on the clients needs. My services as a Full Spectrum Doula as reserved for those who are Queer, BIPOC and/ Or Interracial families. At the moment I am not accepting new clients for Birth Support, I will be sure to post an update when this changes. If you have any questions about whether or not we can work together please feel free to message me or arrange a no cost 30 minute consultation.
I am also available for workshop faciliation, panel discussions, and speaking engagements.
Please be sure to check out my specific offerings below if you are interested in working with me.
In my free time I enjoy reading (all genres, but especially science fiction), practicing contortion, crocheting and any DIY craft, and i have been learning more about slow/ eco friendly fashion and sustainability. I am vegan with a Pisces moon; lately have been teaching myself about tarot and astrology. These things help me to learn more about myself and the world around me and all of this informs my work.
What I offer:
As a full spectrum doula my care involves support in developing a birth plan, 1-1 yoga sessions to prepare you for labor and delivery, support in planning for the 4th trimester and so much more.
Using Psychodynamic Counselling and EMDR, I aim to create a safer, inclusive and non judgemental space for my clients, so that they are able to feel secure enough to process Trauma and begin the process of self exploration and discovery.
An important part of my work is de-stigmatising mental health by taking these conversations out of the counselling room.
